This building is designed to house a pharmacy for Pharmaprix in Saint-Lambert, Quebec. It consists of a 15,200 sq. ft. footprint and 3,400 sq. ft. of storage area at the basement level. The ground floor is sunk into the ground in order that the building be perceived as slightly lower than it actually is. This facilitates the building’s insertion into its surroundings. The rhythm of the façade, the choice of materials (red brick and grey block) and the pre-cast concrete details are all tools that are used here to allow the building to integrate into its commercial and residential surroundings.
