Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Mart), Taschereau blvd., Greenfield Park
This new commercial building on Taschereau Boulevard in Greenfield Park, has a total floor area of 18,600 ft. sq. It was designed to be occupied by a Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Mart) pharmacy. Its architectural character adheres to the client’s corporate image by using the client’s preferred materials and design. By adhering to the setbacks and the other urban design criteria set out for the quarters, the projet assumes its place in the Taschereau boulevard commercial urban fabric. This project is significant for the following innovations:
1. Control and optimization of lighting intensity by using motion and daylight sensors;
2. Heating & ventilation systems optimization through remote monitoring.
3. Photometric studies for the optimization of the parking area lighting.
4. 30% reduction of water consumption achieved through the use of low flow toilets and movement sensors for all faucets.
